A little bit about Pam and Karen, both are HATS (Humane Animal Treatment
Society) volunteers who have spent many Sundays caring for the cats at the shelter. When they learned that many cats at the
shelter were about to be euthanized they rescued them and are fostering them until they can be adopted. It is
a large undertaking but the rewards are so great when a cat gets a loving home with a caring person who wants to make
a difference in the life of a homeless cat or kitten.
The original group of cats and kittens are adopted now but there are
always new cats that need rescueing. In addition, if a cat has a special need
or is not doing well at the shelter, they will also take those home and give them the medical care and attention that they
need and try to place them into appropriate homes. If you would like to adopt or want more info you can call Pam and Karen
about any of these cats at 989-967-8613.

| I have a new foster cat - Bunny |

|

UPDATE on Bunny: Bunny is now spayed, has her first vaccination and is feline leukemia tested
negative. She is available for adoption now provided she gets her other two sets of vaccinations. It turns out Bunny is not
an older cat, she's about 3 yrs old. The vet said she went a long time without eating and needs lots of high protein foods
for a while to build up her muscles again. That is probably why she acted like an older cat. She obviously had a relationship
with people before because she is so loving, knows what a comfy cushion is, uses the litter box and acts like she has lived
with someone at one time. I would really like to see Bunny having a way better life than she has had and I hope she gets her
forever home soon.....If you can provide a warm cozy forever home for Bunny call Barb 989-828-6115 or email above.
Bunny is a Manx cat. Manx cats have no tails. She is an older female that is extremely friendly, likes to be held and
petted. Is tolerant of Ziggy and Ivy but doesn't want to play with them, mainly because she is older and likes her own space.
She seems like a real people person cat. She follows me around the garage and puts her paws up on my leg to get her head petted,
much like a dog would do. Even though I have been calling her "Bunny" for only a week or two, she comes running when you call
her name. She is a little slower and easygoing like an older cat would be. She likes to play with a catnip sock. Doesn't
like canned cat food but loves cooked diced chicken meat. She also eats dry cat food. She has been eating a lot and drinking
lots of water. Mainly because she was living in a barn with cats that didn't like her and beat her up. Before that she was
lost and came upon a farm where a nice person tried to find her owners. It didn't work out there for Bunny because of the
barn cats and that is how I became involved. She was very dehydrated and skinny under that pretty fur. She's recuperating
nicely and will be up for adoption soon. She still needs to get spayed and vaccs. You can call me though if you are interested
in her. 989-828-6115. She would make a wonderful companion in a quieter home. It would be best if she had a one-on-one relationship
with a person like a dog would be. In a safe environment (backyard) she could possibly be an indoor-outdoor cat.

Update: Ziggy is turning into a beautiful cat. He has a fun playful personality. He and Ivy play and play all day and
are good friends. They sit under the heatlamp together when they want to warm up.
This is Ziggy Stardust. He is a buff tabby a little over 6 months old and stocky for his age. I took him
home a couple of months ago from the shelter when he was dropped off by a family with 5 kids. He seemed
traumatized and fearful and it took several days but now he's come around. I can pick him up and hold him. He gets
all lovey and purrs. He plays with Ivy and she's helping him become a fun and playful boy. He is neutered
and has had two vaccines. He's leukemia/FIV tested negative. It would be good if he lived with adults
and maybe older children. If you need further info feel free to call Barb 989-828-6115

Ivy would be an ideal apartment cat. She carries her toys to her cubbyhole where she hides them. She likes to play
by herself and is very curious about everything. Ivy chirps and squeaks softly like she is talking to me. She gives me kisses
regularly and thrives on attention and affection. She really enjoys people interactions and likes to be petted and her
belly rubbed.
I hope Ivy finds her forever home soon because she is living in my garage. A warm place called home is
so much better than a cold garage in the middle of winter. I have big dogs in my house and she is not compatible
with them.
For further info call Barb 989-828-6115.
